The Assistant

Emma really wanted to help her dad fix a tiny hole in the hallway wall. So she put on her "helper girl" clothes which consisted of her fanciest dress up dress and her new boots. She grabbed her tool box and was ready to go. While Ben went to grab the Spackle Emma assessed the damaged and got

to work. After the Spackle dried Emma got to help sand it. When we came home from picking up Alli the wall had been painted and Emma was a little upset Ben had done it himself she said "But I am his assistant!" I love this little girl she is so fun to watch when she gets an idea in her head. :) Emma also has enjoyed being my assistant. She always wants to sit on my lap when I am sewing. Which is sweet for about a minute and then she starts wiggling and pushing buttons. I finished a baby quilt for my friend Becca who is due tomorrow. I saw the idea on another blog but it wasn't quilted. I think the quilting makes it even better!
These bottom two quilts are from a quilt swap I particiapted in. The one on the left I made and it got shipped to the east coast. The one on the right is the one I recieved from the swap.

New Year

Hello 2011! Seriously where did 2010 go? I just posted a bunch of times trying to get caught up. It is mostly pictures since writing would have taken even longer and it may not have ever gotten posted.

Emma started Sunbeams last week at church. She is getting so big!

These pictures are of us trying to get a decent family photo so I can attempt on getting a New Year's card out since Christmas cards didn't happen. :)

Ballon Parade

Did any of you fellow San Diegans realize that there was a baloon parade every year? Well I had no idea until this year. The girls and I headed down to check it out and it was kind of fun. There were lots of different baloons and marching bands from all over the country. We got there early enough to sit near the grandstand so we had a pretty good seat.

Christmas

Christmas was wonderful. It was nice having my parents stay and play with us for a little longer. We all got new jammies and we had fun relaxing and drinking hot cocoa.
Emma had fun giving Grandma lots of makeovers.

Lots of gifts were given and we all had fun opening our new treasures.

Fun Time at the Disneyland House

While we were all together before Christmas it happened to be 60 days before my mom's 60th birthday so we decided to have a party since we won't be able to visit her on her actual birthday. We had a good time with the party hats...incase you couldn't tell ;) My parents rented a house when we went to Disneyland and the
kids refered to it as "the disneyland house." There was a break in the rain so we went swimming and took a dip in the hot tub. Then Emma asked if we could go back in the cold tub :)

Disneyland

My wonderful parents decided to take the whole family to Disneyland for the few days before Christmas. We had so much fun even though it happened to be the same days Anaheim got hit with crazy amounts of rain. After we all got our ponchos and umbrellas situated we were ready for the rides. The lines weren't to bad and we had such a great time.
The teacups were closed due to the rain but we still got to pose for a picture.

I just love this little girl...isn't my neice just darling?!?! I was glad when she finally warmed up to me...on the last day.

Jedi training got rained out but we still got to meet the characters :)

Disneyland is magical even in the rain...I can't wait to go again. Thanks Mom and Dad for the awesome memories.

Holiday Station

We went to a really fun family event before Christmas. It was totally free and the kids had such a great time. They got pictures with Santa, played in bouncy houses and slides, rode a pony, watched dancers perform. They even went sledding in sunny San Diego. The kids won a few prizes and tried a few samples from local businesses. My favorite part was the 15 minute massage I got...it was blissful!

Allisons first Choir Concert

Allison participated in her schools choir program this fall and they had their concert back in December. She got all dressed up for concert and was so excited. She did a really good job and we went out to Five Guys for a burger afterwords. (nothing like eating greasy food in a fancy dress!) I love the bottom picture she actually just wiped her face really quickly but I just happened to snap the photo at the perfect time. She really did have a good time :)
