-Allison tries to say no way jose but this is what comes out..."no way O J!"
-When we were walking to the car tonight Allison said "those are beautiful stars, Heavenly Father gave them to the sky."
-We were in the Easter Isle at the store and Allison grabbed a basket and started throwing stuff in...candy, toys, etc. Then we got to the end of the isle and she said "this is my gift you can get for me ok!?!"

Allison Update:
My darling little girl says the cutest things sometimes it is shocking what comes out of her mouth. A few days ago she told Emma she couldn't play with one of her toys because "it is very adult!" When I get frustrated she says "mom, I want to see your happy face please." She also loves to tell and read stories I am amazed how she can almost word for word re-tell most of her books. She LOVES to dress up...the first thing she does in the morning is find her crown and a dress. Another big thing she does is bargain when I tell her she can't have something she will wait a few minutes then go an get whatever she is not supposed to have then come up and say "it's ok, I can have this." Or she will come and ask if I want some and if I say no she will say "ok well I will have it for you." I can't believe she will be three this year, where does the time go?
Emma update:
6 months goes by fast! Emma is sitting up, rolling over and grabbing EVERYTHING! I was drinking a smoothie and she kept grabbing for the straw to stick it in her mouth. The one time she succeded in grabbing the straw and ended up spraying me with smoothie, it was in my hair and on my face...silly girl! She also LOVES to chew on tags, she has a taggies blanket which is a big hit but if you take a tag away from her she instantly gets mad and starts crying. Everytime I change her diaper she laughs at me but I laugh at her too, she has the chubbiest little thighs! She loves to touch my cheek when she nurses and she falls asleep so easy when I sing Goodnight my Someone from the Music Man. It is funny how kids can show a preferance for songs at a young age. Allison's favorite was Baby of Mine from Dumbo. Well thats it for now I hope you enjoy the pictures!

LEGOLAND

Ben and I have wanted to go to Legoland for some time and we finally went with my mom and nephew. It was lots of fun and the kids loved it! The whole time I was amazed with what they can do with legos. We did the fire engine race and our team won of course! Elijah got to do the Volvo driving school all by himself he was pretty good. The kids got sheilds and swords and spent the duration of Elijah's visit playing with them...they made Grandma be the dragon. I love living so close to all these fun places but having family to share it with made it much more fun. Thanks mom for the wonderful vacation...I love vacations when I don't have to leave home!
My new quilt!

My mom made me this beautiful quilt for Christmas and then my Aunt quilted it for me and finally while my mom was visiting she got it bound (thanks Jen for the use of your sewing machine.) Still in progress is the matching yo-yo pillow...yes I am spoiled to have a mother who would go to so much trouble. Also as you can see in the pictures Emma can sit up all on her own!
Zoo

While my nephew was visiting we made a trip to the San Diego Zoo it was lots of fun. We got to see the new baby panda and like always the petting zoo was a hit! When we were walking through the aviary a HUGE bird swooped down right in front of us...I could literally feel the end of his feathers on my face. All the kids got a special treat from the gift shop...Emma liked the stuffed naked mole rat...these little creatures are so ugly they are cute!

I can sew?!?!?

After helping my friend Ruth with her daughters quilts and being around my other friend Jenn who is great at sewing I felt the urge to sew. So I dusted off my sewing machine I got when I was 16 and grabbed some scrap fabric.I didn't get very far...Lets just say my machine has some issues and is going to the repair shop.
I wasn't going to give up that easily because I really had the desire to sew so I borrowed my friend Mollie's machine to do some practice. I wanted to practice before I began my big adventure of making my mom a quilt. It was going to be a surprise but I can't keep secrets like that...and I may need her sewing knowledge on my new quest! So for my first practice sewing project I made a small flannel blanket; Allison loves it even though the stiching isn't straight and there are a couple of yucky spots. Then for my second project I am making a small quilt for Allison to keep in the car so maybe she won't take her sisters blanket. I got the strips for one side sewn together and the plan is to hand quilt it...I will take a picture of the final product whenever it gets finished...hopefully it won't be to long!

Hands
Emma has recently really started to notice and use her hands, she will look at them for long periods of time and just marvel at the new things she can do with them. If only all of us could show such appreciation for simple things.
I went to the Dr. Today about the tingling/numbness I have been having in my hands and arms he said it is just carpal tunnel and since I am nursing the only thing I can do is to wear some hand braces. I do not like them I look like I am ready to go roller blading. However they have made me even more grateful for my hands. What wonderful tools that Heavenly Father gave us.
Since hands have been on my mind a lot lately it has made me reflect on our Savior's hands. He did such wonderful works with his hands and lots of great service. And then to think of the holes in his hands from his crucifixion it brings tears to my eyes that he loved me enough to give his life for me. I hope I can use my hands in ways that are pleasing to him to show my gratitude for his great gift!
Sisters
I just thought these were cute pictures of the girls. And if you look close you can see Allison's owies from falling off the swing at the YMCA. They came and got me out of the pool and told me Allison had fallen off the swing and was bleeding (I was picturing gushing blood) When I finally got my towel on and went to get her she was fine just a little banged up.Rub-a-dub dub...

Watching the Winns

I watched my friends daughters yesterday...it was a full house with all of us girls! Haylee and Allison played dress-up and we went to the park and played they love spending time together. Sydney liked holding baby Emma and Allison got a lttle frustrated with that as you can see in the picture. Usually she could care less who holds her sister but I liked how she wasnted to be protective. As usual we did a craft project I think it is cute how both Allison and Haylee call them projects not crafts. I had Sydney and Haylee make a welcome home sign for their mother...I am so glad she liked it.
Crazy Hair

Allison and Haylee let me do their hair yesterday...several times actually. I think it is fun to do crazy things with little girls hair....it's cute when you are little! I am SO greatful that Allison lets me do her hair. I still am getting used to her curly hair, I have super straight hair so it can be a challenge.

We Thank Thee, O God, For a Prophet
Silly little Lady
While we were cleaning out some closets Allison found one of her swimsuits and my wig from Halloween...doesn't she look lovely. And can I say I REALLY need to clean that mirror, I knew it was getting bad but in the picture it looks terrible! The picture on the bottom right is of Allison's new hair clips, she picked them out herself and she wants to wear them with everything...I am just happy she is letting me do her hair!Hinckley Challenge

In honor of our dear Prophets death I have excepted the challenge to read the Book of Mormon in 97 days. Gordon B. Hinckley was an amazing man who has left many footprints in the sands of time and I will miss him.
