A few of my favorite things...
Popped corn on the cob
Little Wooden Dolls

One of my friends sent me a picture of these cute wooden dolls and she ask how hard they would be to do so...I wanted to give it a try. This is my first attempt at a little girl and I have plans to make a bunch of little cowboys for my moms kindergarten class. My question is do you think I should paint arms on my future little people or should they be left armless like veggietales?
Garage Sale Highchair
So I bought this little highchair from a garage sale for $1...I should have taken a before picture
it used to be white with some (awesome?) 70's fabric covering it. But for less than $5 I changed it into this...
So for a total of $6 Allison & Emma have a new dolly highchair.

Painting Rocks

Allison and I had a good time painting rocks the other day. First we went on a walk to find some good rocks and then we washed them up so they were ready to paint. I was trying to make rock dolls (Allison loves them!) I think next time I will use some type of ink instead of paint. Allison painted most of hers brown and grey so they looked just like ROCKS!

Muffin Tin Monday

I saw this cute idea on another blog where you have your kids eat lunch from a muffin tin. It worked pretty good but I learned a few things...
1. I will be putting a golden ticket in one spot that Allison can trade in for a treat. This way she won't eat the marshmellow first!
2. I think until she is a bit older a 6 opening muffin tin would work better.
3. I also thought you could get a little cup that fits in one of the holes.

Summer as I know it

So far my summer has been pretty great, I am staying with my parents until the beginning of August when we can move into the house we are renting, isn't it cute? (see picture) I wish it was staying blue but they are painting it as I am typing this... it is going to be green. Ben started his new job on June 23rd and so far he loves it..well as much as anyone "loves" work. He gets along great with his co-workers and he has already found a new quartet to sing with...yipee! The weather has been pretty good I could have lived without the couple days of 96 degree weather. I have re-realized my love of garage sales and I have gotten four dining room chairs, a stool and a vanity that I am going to refinish and re-upholster. I put up a picture of the stool it doesn't look like much now but when I am done it will be a beautiful tuffet for Emma. Ben and I have also been helping re-do my parents patio and backyard, Emma loves the new fountain!
Guess who is 3?

Allison turned three at the end of June, she had 2 parties (lucky girl!) One was just with family and then she had a teddy bear picnic with some of her friends. Allison's favorite thing to do right now is act like a cat. She licks her food and even some people. She purrs, meows, and hisses it is pretty funny but I hope my little girl comes back soon! A few other things Allison has been up to are participating in the summer reading program, having fun with cousins, and hanging out with her grandparents.
What Emma has been up to...

Emma has 3 teeth and working on a fourth. She is almost walking and is so very brave! She will crawl up on stools and stand and climbs the stairs with ease. She says mom, dad, cat, and Hello. She has mastered waving bye-bye and is ALWAYS smiling. I love my little girl she brings so much joy to my life.
