My parents surprised us with zoo passes so Emma and I tried them out last week. We had a great time and I can't wait to go with the whole family. Thanks mom and dad...you rock!
Last Saturday there were so many wonderful things going on and we managed to squeeze them all in.
First we went to the Book Party at Balboa park. It was a great event to promote literacy. They had dancers perform, an author speak, and a few kids recited poems. Then each child received two free books and a snack.
After the Book Party we headed to a friends birthday party and then on to Art Walk. Art walk is also free and they have a kids walk where there are lots of crafts and fun things for the kids to do. They even have a circus school perform and of course face painting. Emma decided she wanted her feet painted instead. We had so much fun and we didn't spend a dime.
