Gimme all your toys!

I asked Allison to bring me a toy for Emma, moments later I here grunting as Allison is bringing out the whole baby toy drawer. Allison is very strong and Emma loved all the toys.

Hensel Phelps Christmas Party

This past weekend we went up to Dana Point to the Marriott for Ben's work Christmas party. It was fun to get dressed up and to stay in a nice hotel room that we didn't have to pay for. The company also provided babysitting and the dinner was pretty good. I forgot to take pictures of us all dressed up but here are some pictures of us getting ready and goofing around in our room.

Christmas crafts

I love the snowman that Allison made at art class, it is out of sand paper and sea shells and he has a surfboard instead of a broom. It is deffinetly a San Diego snowman! She also made a gift bag...I am sure you are all hoping you will get your Christmas gift in it.
Allison and I painted more ornaments she finished 5 in the time it took me to do one.

Temple Concert

Ben was asked at the last minute to sing with the signing choir at the temple. So he and 3 other guys from church accepted the call and this is a piece of what they sang. Sorry the video is a bit dark and shaky...I wish I could say it was shaky because of the kids but they were both sleeping in the stroller, Apparently I can't hold still!

Patience

So today I told Allison to hurry and get out of the car and she told me "mom you need to be patient." Patience is something I need to work on so I thought it was funny. While we were driving she asked me to put away the sun because she was hot. I told her that we should be greatful for the warmth because in most places in December it is rather cold.
These pictures are of her Christmas dress, she loves twirling in it. She even left her hair tie in all through church...I think that is a record.

a little video

So Allison is using her goofy voice in this video...she kind of sounds like a reggae singer.

where is #4

This is Allison doing her speedy version of couting from 1-10 she always forgets #4, she knows the #4 and if I say it with her she will say it but on her own #4 never quite makes it in there.

Go Cougars!

We got to go to the BYU vs. SDSU game on Saturday, it was great of course because BYU won 48 to 27. Our seats were field level right next to the band on the Aztecs side, I felt a little funny being on the wrong side but by the time the game started we were surrounded by lots of other BYU fans who were also on the wrong side.
At halftime 4 parachuters made there way into the stadium it was pretty cool.
As you can tell in the above pictures Emma had her game face on, she was so good the entire game she even slept through the loud cannon and the marching band. I have to say the BYU cheerleaders were WAY better than the SDSU girls, I saw the same routine 20 times at least. But the SDSU mascot was a trooper he was wearing what looked like a mini skirt, a vest, and a head dress...he had to be freezing...and he had unusaully nice looking legs for a man(maybe he shaves?)
The best part was seeing all the BYU fans and having Ben's Dad there (probably one of the biggest fans) I never knew he loved football so much.

Grandpa Smurth's visit

Grandpa Smurthwaite came to visit this weekend. He took us to the BYU game and he also got to hear Ben sing with his quartet. Allison loved playing and reading with her grandpa and we loved visiting with him.
