While Grandma Gwen was here she taught Allison that a butterfly uses its special straw called a proboscis to get nectar from flowers. Today while we were on a walk we saw a hummingbird getting nectar from a flower and she ask me if it had a proboscis like a butterfly. It amazed me she remembered the word proboscis, it seems like a hard one and until a few days ago i didn't know what a proboscis was.
