Leg Warmers

I Love leg warmers on my girls...they just look so stinkin' cute! However leg warmer can get a little pricey so I was SO excited when I found a tutorial showing how to make leg warmers out of women's socks. Since my kids were asleep when I found this tutorial I had to use some of my old socks...I love how the dark gray ones turned out! The polka dot ones turned out to small for Emma so the dolls now have a pair of leg warmers too. The green pair were not from socks I used an old shirt to see if I could figure something out...they are ok but the socks are so much easier.

Danica Hair

The other night Allison put on this blonde wig and said "look mom I have Danica hair" Danica happens to be one of my best friends and I thought it was cute how Allison was pretending to be her. So here are the pictures of Allison with Danica hair and the real Danica with my other best friend Amanda.
By the way Danica and Amanda I miss you...we need to get together soon!

A quick morning project...

While the girls were playing this morning I decided to make Alli a new purse. It is made from a pair of Emma's old shorts, I loved those shorts and just couldn't get rid of them so I re-purposed them instead! The Bow and Handle are made from the belt of one of Alli's old outfits. I think it turned out cute and Allison hasn't set it down all morning.

Happy Halloween!

This year for Halloween Allison wanted to be a brown kitten and she wanted me to be a cat so that was pretty easy and I was happy with being a cat. Then I asked her what she wanted Ben to be and for a long time she said a smoke detector but when I started making a smoke detector she decided she would rather have him be a banana! So I did my best with the one night I had left before Halloween to make Ben a banana costume. Ben was a good sport to wear the some- what ridiculous costume. At the end of the night I asked Alli who's costume was her favorite...she smiled and said "my daddy's!"
I love the picture of Allison biting Ben...she kept saying "now I can eat him, cats love bananas!"

We had a fun evening with our friends...it started with soups and ended with doughnuts (that's my kind of night!) The kids had fun trick-or-treating and would race to see who got to ring the doorbell first. I loved how it got foggy right as we started trick-or-treating it added the perfect touch. My camera was being crazy so I am excited to see Jason's pictures and I am sure I will post some of his later. I hope you all had a happy Halloween and thanks to our friends for making ours a great one!

Tea party

Getting ready for our guest's
They were so cute...very lady like.

Emma wanted to be a big girl and helped herself to everyone's treats. My favorite part was the girls trying to go up the stairs in their fancy dresses.

The leaves are falling down!

I love the big tree in our backyard I only wish it would rake it's own leaves! I tried to enlist Allison's help but that didn't last long. At least the girls had fun playing in the leaves.

Halloween Preview

Here is a sneak peak of Allison' s Halloween costume...she is missing her kitty collar in this picture but you get the idea! She LOVES her tail she insisted on standing sideways for the picture so you could see it. Thanks mom for making the ears and tail...they are a hit! I made her kitty gloves yesterday and now Allison scratches at everything...naughty kitty.

Pumpkin Carving

Pumpkin carving with a 1 year old is interesting! Emma practically stuck her head in all the pumpkins, she tasted the pumpkin goo, and slimed everyone else with the pumpkin goo.
As you can see we made Larry the cucumber out of our green pumpkin and then we made a home is where the heart is pumpkin from our big orange one. Allison had fun drawing all over one of the little pumpkins. I love the picture of Emma drawing...she is clearly designing her pumpkin.
