Emma turned One!

I can't believe my baby is one, where does the time go? We had a small family party for Emma today ...I want to say thank you to my parents for coming to celebrate with us and for the wonderful gifts!I think the party was a success Emma absolutely loved her cake she liked patting it like a drum and then patting my table cloth it was a big mess and so was she. After we got her cleaned up she opened her gifts, well Allison opened most of them and she told everyone what it was before opening it. Emma loved her gifts but I think the balloons were her favorite.
I also had everyone write Emma a message in her birthday book. I am trying to start this new tradition of writing in a birthday book for each person. You can write whatever you want a story, words of advice, whatever you want the person to read someday. I did a time capsule for Allison's first birthday but I wanted something that would be ongoing so I will see how this goes. In the book on each birthday I also write some facts about the person like Emma has 3 teeth and she walks, etc. If any of our friends or family would like to send something for Emma's birthday book I would gladly paste it in there for you.

Goodbye to the Hallenbergers

I forgot to mention...

Alli is potty trained! She has been since July but I didn't want to say anything just in case we had a relapse when we moved.

Alli's Robot

Allison and I made this Robot a few days ago , she was so cute about her coloring she did the lightning bolt all by herself and she was very proud of it. I love how she tries to color in the lines now.

Giddy-up Daddy!

Glass Etching

Here is my laundry soap jar that I did some glass etching on. I have also done a q-tip container & casserole dish. I am going to try a plate with a cool design and maybe even etch each family members name on a cup so we don't go through so many :)
Glass etching is super easy I think everyone should try it!

Smurthwaite Family Reunion

I finally am uploading my family reunion pictures. We had a great time in Colorado with the Smurthwaite Clan. It was very hot...102 degrees the day we went to the zoo, but the water park was lots of fun! Everyone enjoyed the Smurthwaite Olympics I even ran the course it was lots of fun.We already miss our family and We can't wait until the next reunion which we happen to be in charge of so we better get planning!

My Sister

I found out recently that my sister is moving to Idaho, I am of course bummed because I just moved closer to her and I haven't had that much time with her and her family. Also I just lost my favorite photographer. But I wanted to write down how greatful I am to have such a wonderful sister. She is fun (most of the time) she lives for a good photo oppurtunity. Her laugh cracks me up she almost can't breath when she gets going. She loves to help others around her and even manages to keep her house clean (I still don't know her secret on that one) I cherish all my memories growing up with her (except the ones where she would beat me up) But the good ones almost make those dissapear. I love you Sis and I hope your new journey in life brings you more than you desire. You better come back to visit or else!
