Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was lots of fun. Since my parents house is being remodeled things were a little misplaced we couldn't find the stocking so the girls left their rain boots out.
Emma asked for The Wizard of Oz for Christmas. Well Santa delivered and Emma wouldn't put it down. Notice it is in all of her pictures, funny girl! During Christmas vacation she discovered that if she said something was her favorite she would usually get that something. So now everything is her favorite :)
Allison got her "American girl" doll...it isn't an original but it looks just as cute and she loves it! I also got to give her my Sea world littlest pet shop set from when I was a kid, I was so happy she liked it.

We all got wonderful presents but I was most pleased with my mom's reaction to her quilt that I finished. My mom loves spiders and so I wanted to make her a spiderweb quilt. I started this quilt a long time ago but I finally got back to it and finished the top in time for Christmas. Maybe I can get it quilted by her birthday:)

Christmas Eve Jammies

One of my favorite Christmas traditions is every one opens jammies on Christmas eve. So here we are sporting our new jammies. I love how Emma and my dad have almost the same expression on their faces.

I look really tired in this picture...probably because I was I stayed up watching all of the feel good Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel. They are all super predictable and cheesy but I find some comfort in that.

Cookie Party

The last thing we did at the Warners was have a cookie party. The kids got to decorate lots of yummy cookies. It was nice to see Allison playing with all of her friends that she has missed since we moved. Look at these 3 cute girls!
Jenni made the girls adorable little aprons for the cookie party.

Payton and Emma were big helpers when we made the cookies. And the little girls loved eating the cookies.

The kids finished product...don't they look awesome!?!

Gingerbread Houses and Other fun times

The kids loved helping...and eating the candy.
This is the Warner's Gingerbread house. The candy coated sunflower seeds made the perfect lights on all of our houses.
Our finished masterpieces! Cali and Jenni I love you and miss you and I am glad to have you as my friends. (oh and Cortney I miss you too...LOTS! we needed you in this picture!)

More Couch Fun... Thanks James for entertaining the kiddos!

We love the Warners!!! (somehow Mark evaded the camera the whole time I was there)

Thanks for letting us come stay with you we had sooooo much fun. We miss you guys and can't wait to visit again.

Fun on the Couch

These pictures our from our first stop on our trip...The Warner's house. The kids had so much fun playing on their couch the big cushions were perfect for jumping on. I know there are people out there who would look at this and scream because furniture is for sitting on (I try to keep that rule in our home...try being the key word) but seeing the pure joy on there faces made it all right by me. Plus it kept them busy for a long time.

Preparing for our Trip

I have lots and lots of things to post about from our Christmas vacation to Washington it may take me a few days to post it all. The posts may not be in order but you will get the idea of the fun times that we had visiting friends and family!

Emma looking out the window of the plane. She was so good for all of our flights. I loved the flight attendants face when she asked (in a baby voice) where Emma was going and "Emma said going to Shelton to see my Bamma!" The Flight attendant then felt a little silly for talking to her like a baby and was very impressed how well she talked.
Allison so excited to be going to Washington, she was also very good on the plane.
I was excited because I finished all of my Christmas project before I left! This is the baby quilt for Ethan the new addition to the Welcker family.

Welcoming in 2010

We had a pretty low key New Year's celebration at our house but we did make it out to the beach to meet our friends the Welckers. It was a beautiful day and the girls had lots of fun running around on the beach.
