A little Crazy
I volunteered to do some cooking with Allison's class tomorrow, we will be making citrus pancakes. Yesterday I had the thougth that it would be so cute to have aprons for all the kids. But since it was such short notice I thought it was out of the question...until I mentioned it to Ben and he said "oh you can totally do it!" So I cut out 22 aprons from fabric I already had last night and then today I sewed on all the bias tape trim. My mom told me I was crazy and I probably am since I already had a huge to do list but I think it was worth it. I made 22 aprons in less than 24 hours...go me! I hope the kiddos like them. :)

Amazed by my Daughter
I am amazed at Allison creativity and silliness...
She taped a mini ornament to her nose and pretended she was Rudolph. She learned that big clear tape hurts when you peel it off and that red ornaments leave permanent pink dots on your nose...it came off after 2 days and 2 baths. :)
I am amazed by how cute both my girls are...
I know I am biased but that's OK!
I am amazed that my daughter sewed her first quilt top today....
Allison has been bugging me for awhile about sewing a quilt for her little cousin Gweny. So I finally gave in and last night she picked out the fabric and pattern and I cut all of the pieces for her. Today after school she set up her little machine and we began to sew. It took a couple hours with a few breaks for snacks and dinner but she finished it. She sewed every stitch and I was only there to supervise, Iron, and occasionally remind her to watch where she was sewing ;) I plan on quilting this later this week (with some help from Alli) then it will be completely finished.

Getting Ready for Disneyland
My parents are taking the whole family to Disneyland during Christmas break and we thought it would be cute to make the kids matching shirts. Then my sister suggested that everyone have matching shirts...which will make for a great photo even if the adults don't look nearly as cute as the kids ;) I finished the shirts today and now we just have to wait a few more weeks until Disneyland.

Things I forgot to post about...
Emma is loving our little co-op preschool it is jsut 3 little girls last week we learned about letter H. We made hats and horses. Emma wrote her first letter E last week it looks pretty good. Every time she sees an Exit sign she says look its my E.
I flew to Washington back in October to throw a babyshower for my friend Amanda. Her first baby is due any time now...really she is at the hospital as I type this :)
Amanda gots lots of great gifts and I had fun planning and throwing her shower. It was fun to visit with old friends and to celebrate Amanda and baby Tessa.
Allison's class feild trip to the pumpkin patch...or pumkin pile since you don't actually get to go out in the feilds here. :) It was very hot but we had a good time.
Allison got to bring home the class monkey...Mr. George. They had a tea party with our other monkey friends, brushed teeth, read books, ate dinner, Allison even sewed him a blanket because he was cold. I just realized Allison had on three different outfits all in one afternoon/evening no wonder I have so much laundry to do!Monday, November 15, 2010

Trunk or Treat
This year it took Allison a long time to finally settle on a Halloween costume. Her final decision was to be an ice skater and Emma was a unicorn. Alli wanted a treat bag with Skates on it and Emma wanted a jack-o-lantern.

My friend Ruth was in charge of her wards Halloween party so we went up and had some fun at their carnival. Alli and Emma got to play lots of fun games. Allison loved the Doughnut on a string game. Emma gave up and finally used her hands.
The girls got there faces painted, hit the fish and duck ponds, even went through the haunted house.
Ben dressed up as the house from the movie UP. We ran into some other UP fans at the carnival there costumes were awesome. After the carnival we headed down to our wards trunk-or-treat. We decorated our trunk with spider webs and glittery spiders. Allison also drew lots of Halloween pictures to help decorate as well. My favorite was the witch and cat on the broom stick.
In case you can't tell I was a lady bug :)We all had such a fun time trunk-or-treating and partying it up with our friends up north :).

Emma the Dancer
It is so fun to watch Emma at dance she LOVES it! She watched Allison all last year and it is finally her turn and she enjoys every second. Now a little bit about Allison...
Allison sponsored a book at her school library...she loved being able to sign the sticker inside. She got to be the first student to check it out. I made Allison a Harold and the Purple Crayon shirt for her school gathering (assembly)on Friday. The whole school has been reading Harold and they did a school art project that they showed the video of at the gathering.Haunted Mansion
Last night the girls and I made a haunted mansion. It was fun yet stressful...next time someone remind me that 2 adults are best for projects like this :)
I also made some pillow covers to add some fall spirit to our home. I love the fall and I have a couple other projects planned.
Here are some other views of our spooktacular house. I let the girls direct were things went...which was really hard for me. Next time I want my very own mansion.

Emma's first day of Preschool
We are doing a little co-op preschool with two other families. Emma was so excited to go...she said bye mom before we were even to the door.
They learned about apples and she painted an apple tree. She loved being able to use her backpack and she couldn't stop talking about her fun preschool. I am excited for her to learn and grow this year.
After preschool she played "howdy partner" and "the masked retriever"
