Two Minutes...
that is how long it takes for a clean room to become messy once the dress up box is open. :)
After the girls had tried everything on at least twice they did a great job putting it all back in the box.

Cheerleader in Training
Allison went to cheer camp last Saturday and yesterday was the football game she got to cheer at. I think she had lots of fun with her friend Haylee and with the cheerleaders. When we left she ask if we could do that everyday...I told her she could be my cheerleader at home :)

The Cheerleader Skirt

Allison went to a cheer clinic at the high school last Saturday. They taught the girls the basics of cheer leading and this Friday Alli will get to cheer with the high school girls at a football game. They told her she needs to wear navy blue shorts...there are a few problems with that request
1.We don't have any
2. I couldn't find them anywhere.
3. Allison really wants to wear a skirt like the big girl cheerleaders.
So to solve all of the above problems I made her a navy blue cheer skirt. I am pretty sure they won't care if it is a skirt or shorts. I am trying to decided if I want to re-make this skirt so it's a tad longer. I wasn't using a pattern so it turned out a little shorter than I had planned.

Cute Hair
My friend Jenn braided Allison's hair yesterday it was so cute...I don't know how to french braid but I need to learn, Alli love it! She wouldn't let me take it out this morning before preschool luckily it still looked pretty good after being slept on. I forgot to take a picture of her cute braids but this is what Allison's hair looked like when she finally let me take the braids out tonight. After looking in the mirror she said "call me curly shirley please" funny girl!
Kung foo fighting
The girls love dancing and showing off their Kung Fu moves. Every time the song comes on Allison will say "Wait for it...wait for it" since it has kind of a long intro...Emma say it now and I think it is super cute.

Help!

I am not sure how Emma plans on surviving her child hood when she is constantly being daring and wreckless:) Our pantry is a huge fascination for her especially since I put the Halloween candy on the top shelf. Well that didn't stop her she climbed on top of food storage boxes then stacked some cans until she could stand on her tippy toes and reach the bag of Halloween candy. (Usually my pantry looks a little more organized but Emma has done some re-arranging in her many quest to the pantry.) The other day I opened the door and found her taking handfuls of sugar out and dumping them on the floor then licking her hands. She also will climb on the table, over the bar and onto the counter and try to get into the vitamin cupboard.
We also had to put baby proof things on all of our doors so she won't climb up to the bathroom sink and turn on the water to play in or go put on my makeup, or get Ben's deodorant and put it all over her toys. (Her toys have great hygiene!)
She is determined to get what she wants she will get stools, play baby high chairs, books, anything to make herself tall enough to reach what she wants. Though I admire her creativity and persistence I wish she would just give it up sometimes.
On a less mischievous note...Emma gets her backpack on every morning hoping she will get to go with Alli to preschool. It is very cute! And she loves picking out crazy outfits to dazzle us with.
A Day in My Kitchen
Aren't these acorn squash fabulous? They are one of my favorite foods and I am excited to eat them for dinner tonight. However I will miss looking at them lined up on my counter.
I have decided doing the dishes is way more fun when they are mostly pink!
The girls helped me make lots of things today to get ready for Relief Society tomorrow where I am showing the ladies at my church some fun ideas of things to bake with kids. There favorite part was playing with the chocolate play dough we made. Check out their cute aprons I won a give away on The Crafty Crow. These cute aprons are made by Oh My Darlin you can find her etsy store here.
I also won a crayon roll that matches the lemon smock.

First Day of Preschool 2009

Allison didn't seem to excited this morning about going to preschool, but once she saw her classroom I could tell she loved it. It was weird only having one kid around the house but I liked having Emma time. When I picked Alli up I asked her about her day, after she told me about her finger painting frustrations I was worried maybe she didn't have a good time. After a few more questions I got her talking about how she looked at seashells and rocks with magnifying glasses and how she was a scientist. She went on about this for at least 5 minutes so I know she really did have a good time. She wasn't thrilled they had a 1 person at a time rule when it came to hula hoops her and Gabby wanted to play with it together:) I can totally understand why that rule is in place :) Just a side note...she did not wear the yellow heels to school though they are lovely!
