On the Coast Cruise ride they give you the facts on how many legos it took to build each building and how much they weigh...they were huge numbers but I can't remember any of them specifically. I am amazed that they can build such detailed things with such simple little blocks.
Watch out world Haylee and Alli got their drivers licenses...well for Legoland at least.
Allison and Emma volunteered to be egyptians dancers in one of the shows. When it was their turn Emma chickened out but Alli got up on stage...she was still a bit shy though.
The girls had lots of fun...poor Emma kept saying "I am big now, I can go on that" Legoland is better when you are 4 and up Emma was just a couple inches to short to go on lots of the rides, but she still had fun.
Even though these pictures aren't great I wanted to share some of my favorites from the aquarium. I love how the rays look like they are smiling from underneath, the octopus was very cool. The lionfish is one of my favorites and of course the sea horses are another.
We love our Legomen!
The slide was a HUGE hit...everyone went several times. They even let Emma go even though she was 1 inch to short.
The aquarium had all these cool bubbles you could look through the center of the tanks. They were feeding all the little fish while we were there too, those fishies love their food.
I love his smile in the airport picture, he is growing up so fast!
The picture in the middle on the bottom is of Ian and Alli in the "belly of the beast" which is the parking garage of our building.
We went to see the seals at the Children's beach...maybe they should rename it the seal beach. I remember coming on a vacation as a kids and actually playing on the beach there next to the seals. This time we just got to watch from above but it was still very cool.
The kids had fun panning for Gold at the Battalion.
Ian and Grandma got to do a special Dolphin interaction at Sea World. They got to feed, touch and train a dolphin named Cortez.
Ian turns five this month and since I never get to see him on his actual birthday I made him a cake while he was here. We had gone to Legoland the day before and they had a legoman cake pan (on sale!) I think he turned out pretty good and Ian liked it. 
We forgot the camera at home when we went to Legoland so no pictures of that but we do have the kids with their Legoland swords, Ian taught Emma how to use her pants as a sheath for her sword. FYI when Emma sword fights she hits HARD.
There are 2 new babies in our extended family and here are the quilt tops that will soon become their quilts! The quilt with the purple border is what I created from doing a quilt-a-long with the ladies over at Praiseworthy.
We did a mini egg hunt on Easter morning at home. We didn't want to fill all the eggs with candy so we came up with a few other creative ideas...band aids (since my kids love them and use them like stickers) and letters to spell out Easter (which was a total hit!)
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter I think my favorite part was having Conference on the same weekend...or maybe the 7.2 earthquake we had:)
The dress is from Target. I added the sash with a flower, it ties in the back. I also added the lace at the bottom and made a matching headband. I think it turned out really cute. Emma's dress will look the same except it will have a pink sash with a blue flower and she will have a blue flower barrette. I am thinking of making a flower headband for me or maybe a sash and flower to wear with my new skirt, I will see how I feel after I finish Emma's dress.
We dyed Easter eggs for family home evening last night and all I have to say is Oh My! Emma thought it was OK to use her hands to retrieve the eggs from the dye, she is now very colorful. She also dyed a whole dozen eggs by herself in under 3 minutes...she doesn't mess around. I liked her paper towel when she was finished it was a work of art.
Allison did a great job, she is a pro at Easter eggs since she did them at preschool last week. Lately she is a pro at everything I can tell she is almost five :)
